NEW ARRIVALS!!!!
Times
are tough, right? We’re all
feeling the pinch of the economic slowdown, but we can make it through if we
stick together. Of all the local
industries, the film and video industry has shown consistent, solid growth over
the past ten years. We can do it,
and Mike and I are committed to helping out however we can. With budgets being scaled back, you may
feel the need to get your next camera package at that discount rental house
down the road. Sadly, the old
axiom is true—you get what you pay for. Ever bought something from the dollar store that actually
lasted? Me either. When you go to a job interview, do you
wear those K-Mart jeans, or do you try to impress with that nice pair of slacks
that you saved up for and earned?
Every shoot is like a job interview, and we are committed to helping you
look professional on each one.
With the best kept gear, we keep you looking
sharp--and your clients feeling confident that you brought the right equipment
to do the job.
We recently added a bit of new gear
to the camera, lighting and grip departments. We want to continue be your one stop shop for all video,
audio, grip and lighting needs.
Our pledge to our clients since day one has been to provide the nicest,
best kept gear—along with the intangibles no one else can offer, like
unparalleled customer service and experienced engineering support. Are you tired of beat to death lighting
fixtures? Take a look at our
inventory of new fixtures. Say
“No!” to cameras held together with bailing wire, and duct tape, and check our
assortment of HD and SD cameras. Sick of griping about lame grip gear? We got you covered with a massive
overhaul of our grip department.
No more dirty, decrepit and possibly dangerous lighting control and
support! Just because times are
tough doesn’t mean that you have to shoot with bogus gear. Here’s a quick rundown of what just
came in, the online catalog is being updated as I type!
Camera Department: Loving Panasonic’s P2 workflow? We have added more Panasonic HPX500’s
to the inventory. Talk about
serious bang for the buck—the Panasonic
HPX 500 lets you shoot in many different HD flavors, including 1080i/60 and
720p/24. Toss in a few 32GB P2
cards and a couple of Anton Bauer Dionic 90
batteries, and you can shoot all day without reloading!
Lighting: Wow! Lots of
new fixtures have arrived from Arri--our lighting
vendor of choice for tungsten fixtures.
The brand new Arri T2, a 2000w Fresnel fixture
in a compact housing is here. With
a wide range of focusing, the T2 can cover great spaces in a snap. Also added is the T2’s open faced brother, the Arrilite
2000w. Need a mobile interview
light kit? We also added a couple
of Arri Softbank I kits. Kits include an Arrilite 1K with a
chimera, 2 650w fresnels,
and a 300w fresnel. All fixtures include barndoors,
scrims, stands, color correction, diffusion, party gels, AC cables and
c47s’. We are happy to configure
your Arri kit however you like, just ask! Light one
up, and see why Arri is fast becoming today’s choice
for lighting sets and scene. In
fact, Arri fixtures would go great on a
state-of-the-art grip truck…hmmmm.
Grip: Where to begin? We added a TON (well 1517lbs. to be exact)
of new grip hardware, stands and lighting control. New combo stands, Hi-Hi Rollers, Lo Rollers, beefy babys, 40” C Stands and 20” C Stands just came in. We also added a nice assortment of new
flags, silks, cutters, floppies, reflectors, 6x6 and 12x12 overhead net sets to
the inventory. No more EMBARASSING
flags and floppies held together with gaff tape and JB Weld. No more single and doubles that look
more like tennis court nets than lighting control. That may be ok with the discount rental houses, but Ten
Eighty Media is committed to giving you the best. We added a nice selection of hardware, clamps, arms, and
other grip tools. Do you have a
favorite, indispenseable piece of grip equipment that
you can’t live without? Drop us a
line and we’ll add it to the inventory if we can.
Here’s to making 2009 great. We work for you.
Let us know how we can help.
